How I handle product recommendations

Green Dog Grooming Guides may recommend grooming products, tools, equipment and related dog-care products or services — including cleaners, vacuums, bedding, food, supplements, training, tracking, insurance and other items when they genuinely fit the subject of a guide. Where I link to a merchant or service provider, that link may earn me a commission if you complete a qualifying purchase or action, at no additional cost to you.

Where that’s the case, you’ll see a plain disclosure at the top of the article before you read the recommendation. Not buried in a footer, and not hidden behind a vague label.

What a commission does and doesn’t change

It doesn’t change what I recommend.

A product gets recommended because it fits the problem the article is about. If the best answer for your dog is something I earn nothing from, that’s what the article says. If the honest answer is that you don’t need to buy anything, the article says that too.

Where I’ve genuinely used something, I say so and explain in what context. Where I haven’t, I say what the specifications and design actually support and let you judge. I don’t pretend to have used a product I haven’t.

Claims about products

Manufacturers make claims — biodegradable, plant-derived, organic, cruelty-free, recycled. Where I report one, I attribute it to the manufacturer rather than presenting it as something I’ve verified myself.

Certifications like USDA Organic, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, CertiPUR-US and the NASC Quality Seal mean something specific, and I name the certifying body when a product carries one. Terms like eco-friendly, natural and non-toxic aren’t regulated and I treat them as marketing language.

Where affiliate links appear

Affiliate links may appear within Green Dog Grooming Guides, comparisons, reviews and related national editorial content, and only where the product or service genuinely fits the question being answered.

The North Phoenix Mobile Grooming service pages carry no routine affiliate links. Those pages exist to explain the local grooming service, pricing, service area, policies and booking rather than to function as commercial product guides.

What I don’t do

I don’t recommend prescription medications or compare them.

I don’t present any product as treating a medical condition. If your dog has a health problem, that’s a conversation with your veterinarian, not a shopping decision.

I don’t sell CBD or hemp products, despite those carrying the highest commissions in this category.

I don’t accept payment for a positive review or for placement in an article.
