Privacy Policy

1. Information Provided by Clients

Where a visitor creates an account or dog profile, participates in community features, books a mobile-grooming appointment, makes contact, subscribes to the newsletter or otherwise submits information voluntarily, that information may include name; email address; telephone number or other contact details; account information; service address and gate, parking or arrival instructions where applicable; information concerning a dog, including breed or mix, age, approximate weight, sex, coat type, coat length, shedding, grooming needs and preferences, photographs, mobility or positioning needs, handling sensitivities or history, and owner-reported health conditions or medications relevant to safe grooming; grooming and appointment history; appointment details; community content; newsletter subscription information; and the content of messages submitted through website forms, text, telephone or email.

Such information is used to provide requested site features, maintain member and dog-profile information, support community participation, personalize Green Dog Grooming resources, manage newsletter subscriptions, respond to inquiries, determine grooming service fit, price and duration, manage North Phoenix grooming appointments, support safe and comfortable grooming, communicate regarding service, and operate the website and business.

Green Dog Grooming may also create private professional groomer notes about grooming history, handling, preferences or observations relevant to future service. Those notes are kept separate from customer-editable profile fields and are not published as Community or classified content.

During a scheduling-system transition, Green Dog Grooming may receive or import legacy appointment information from Square and a connected Square Appointments calendar, including contact information, service address, appointment date and time, service descriptions, recurring-schedule information and operational notes needed to honor or reconcile existing appointments. Imported legacy information is treated as migration/reference data until it is verified or linked to the appropriate account and dog profile.

Client information is not sold.

2. Photographs of Dogs

Photographs submitted with an appointment request are used to assess coat type, coat condition, approximate grooming workload and service fit. A photograph does not guarantee that every coat or skin condition can be identified before the dog is handled.

Photographs are not published as testimonials, portfolio images or marketing content without the client’s permission. The dog-profile website-photo permission applies only to use on GreenDogGrooming.com and does not authorize paid advertising. Any future use of a client’s dog photo in paid advertising would require separate permission.

3. Third-Party Booking, Payment and Business Services

Appointment scheduling is handled through the Green Dog Grooming online calendar. Payments are processed through Square. Website hosting, WordPress, account/member functionality, forms, community features, email delivery, newsletter delivery, analytics and affiliate tracking may involve additional third-party providers.

Information submitted directly to a third-party service is also governed by that provider’s privacy policy and security practices, which are outside Green Dog Mobile Grooming’s control.

4. Website Technical Data

Hosting, WordPress, security and analytics tools may process technical information including IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring source, approximate location, and cookies or similar identifiers.

Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Certain cookies are necessary for the operation of the site; others assist in understanding which pages visitors find useful. Cookies may be cleared or blocked through browser settings, although certain features of the site may not function as intended where they are.

5. Affiliate Links

Certain articles contain affiliate links. Where a reader follows such a link, the merchant or affiliate network may set a cookie or apply tracking parameters in order to determine whether a qualifying purchase or action has occurred.

Such tracking is conducted by the merchant or network under its own privacy practices. The Affiliate Information page explains the financial relationship.

6. Newsletter

Where a reader subscribes, the email platform processes subscriber information under its own privacy policy. Each message includes an unsubscribe facility.

7. Children

This website is directed to persons seeking dog care and grooming information. It is not directed to children and is not designed for children to submit personal information.

8. Accounts, My Dogs, Community and Classifieds

Information saved in member accounts, dog profiles, appointment tools, classified listings or community features is used to provide those functions. My Dogs profiles, dog photographs, service addresses, access instructions, appointment relationships, owner-provided grooming-relevant health and handling information, and private groomer notes are private account or service information and are not published as Community or classified-seller profile content.

Community member profiles are limited to signed-in members. Members should not post private, confidential or sensitive information in Community posts or classified descriptions. Classified advertisements may display the seller’s chosen public display name and listing information, but Green Dog Grooming does not publish the seller’s account email address as part of the listing. Private classified messages are stored by the website and may be reviewed by Green Dog Grooming administrators for moderation, safety, abuse prevention and dispute handling.

Account, dog-profile and listing records are attached to internal identifiers such as the member’s WordPress user ID and the dog’s profile ID. Changing an email address does not transfer or detach those records. New accounts and changed email addresses may require email verification.

9. Information Security

Green Dog Mobile Grooming applies administrative and technical practices appropriate to a business of its size and to the services in use. No website or third-party platform can guarantee absolute security.

10. Retention and Account Closure

Client, dog-profile, groomer-note, appointment and migration records are retained for as long as the account remains active and as reasonably required for operational, accounting, safety, migration or reconciliation, and legal purposes. Classified listings expire after the period stated by the marketplace and may be removed after an additional storage period. Abandoned drafts and technical temporary records may be removed as part of routine maintenance.

Account closure is handled by Green Dog Grooming rather than by immediate self-service deletion so that active appointments, advertisements, payment or accounting records, safety notes, migration links and Community content can be reviewed first. A member may request account closure through the contact page. Green Dog Grooming may delete, anonymize or retain particular records as reasonably required for the purposes described above. Information held by a third-party platform is also subject to that platform’s retention practices.

11. Inquiries

Privacy inquiries concerning GreenDogGrooming.com may be made through the contact page. North Phoenix mobile-grooming clients may also use the local service contact information provided there.

Requests concerning information held by a third-party platform, including Square, the email provider or an affiliate merchant, may also require direction to that provider.

12. Amendments

This policy is reviewed and updated where the forms, booking tools, analytics, newsletter platform, affiliate tracking or other data practices applicable to the site materially change.
