Inside the Green Dog Grooming Van
The 2014 Mercedes Sprinter was converted by Wag’n Tails into a self-contained, one-dog grooming salon with the water, power, light, equipment, and climate control needed for a complete appointment.
Purpose-built equipment
Designed around safer movement and positioning
The salon keeps the complete bath, dry, and finishing workflow within one compact space.
Electric rotating table
It lowers to about 18 inches for easier entry, raises to about 44 inches, and rotates so I can work around the dog with less repositioning.
Walkover bridge
The table-to-tub bridge helps many large, older, or arthritic dogs step into the bath instead of being lifted.
Stainless-steel tub
A raised grate brings smaller dogs to a steadier working height; heated water and a mixing valve control bath temperature.
Self-contained systems
What arrives with the van
Fresh water in, greywater out
The van carries a 70-gallon fresh-water tank and a separate 70-gallon greywater tank. Used bath water stays onboard rather than running into the street.
Generator-free while parked
A LiFePO4 lithium battery system and Victron inverter/charger power normal salon operation. No gas or diesel grooming generator runs at your curb.
Bright, even work light
LED lighting makes coat detail easier to see without adding unnecessary heat to the compact salon.
Dryer motor outside the room
The K-9 II motor is mounted in the utility compartment, with only the hose inside, keeping much of its heat and mechanical noise away from the dog.
A space with one job
The tub, table, dryers, tools, towels, products, storage, and water systems support one continuous appointment. A dog is not moved between a bathing room, kennel bank, drying room, and finishing station.
Built for coat-specific work
High-velocity airflow releases undercoat on shedding coats. Complete drying and straightening reveal density, tangles, and shape before clipping or scissoring a continuously growing coat.

What the van needs from you
Safe curbside parking
A practical place to park for the full appointment, close enough for a safe dog handoff.
Overhead clearance
Please flag low branches, low carports, gates, steep approaches, parking restrictions, or tight turnarounds.
No utility hookup
During normal grooming, you do not need to provide household water or electricity.
Accurate power note: The Sprinter itself is diesel-powered, batteries recharge from shore/grid power between appointments, and the furnace is propane. “Generator-free” means no gas or diesel grooming generator runs while the salon is parked at your home.
