Your appointment, step by step

What to Expect from Mobile Grooming

The salon comes to your home, your dog is groomed privately from bath through finish, and I return your dog directly to you when the appointment is complete.

Before I arrive

A little preparation goes a long way

1

Choose the closest coat service

Use the four service descriptions as your guide. Breed helps, but the actual coat determines the final category.

2

Plan safe van access

Keep a practical curbside space clear and flag low branches, gates, parking restrictions, or unusual approaches.

3

Give your dog a bathroom break

Your dog does not need a last-minute bath or brushing session. A normal bathroom break beforehand is helpful.

The appointment

From arrival text to return

1

I text when I am on the way

You receive an estimated arrival time before I reach the service address.

2

We complete a quick handoff

Bring your dog out or meet me at the door. You are welcome to see the salon before the groom starts.

3

I groom one dog at a time

Owners do not remain inside. Multiple dogs from one address are scheduled together and groomed in sequence.

4

The process follows the coat

Bathing, rinsing, drying, brushing or deshedding, nails, and finishing are completed as one continuous workflow.

5

Your dog comes home

I return your dog and share useful observations about coat condition, skin, nails, tangling, shedding, or maintenance.

6

Payment and next visit

Payment is due at the end. Major cards through Square, cash, and check are accepted; rebook online or by text.

What happens in the van

Different coats need different work

Smooth single coats

Thorough cleansing, complete rinsing, drying, brushing, and removal of loose surface coat.

Short and thick double coats

High-velocity drying separates coat layers and releases undercoat, followed by the brushing, carding, and practical finish the density requires.

Continuously growing coats

Complete drying, straightening, combing, and clipping or scissoring based on coat condition and a maintainable preferred length.

Products are selected for the dog

I choose professional iGroom shampoo and conditioner for coat type and visible condition rather than using one formula for every appointment.

Timing is not one-size-fits-all

Density, condition, matting, size, age, drying needs, and tolerance change the workload, so I do not promise a fixed appointment duration.

Safety and service limits: Dogs must tolerate routine grooming and ordinary handling. I do not provide veterinary sedation, restraint, diagnosis, or treatment. I may modify or stop grooming if a dog becomes overly stressed, medically unstable, or unsafe. I do not perform prolonged painful de-matting, and healthy double coats are generally preserved rather than routinely shaved.
