The coat tells me what the groom needs
I look at the dog in front of me: coat type, density, condition, shedding, matting and how much drying and finish work the coat requires. A Golden Retriever carrying loose undercoat needs a different process than a Poodle that needs a full clip, and a short-coated dog does not need either of those grooms.
For shedding double coats, a thorough bath and high-velocity dry can release an enormous amount of undercoat before I ever start the finishing work. I use professional iGroom products, including biodegradable de-shed shampoo and cream rinse, when they are appropriate for the coat.
Mobile grooming in an established neighborhood
Moon Valley has mature landscaping and established residential streets, so parking and overhead clearance can matter. My Sprinter is 9 feet 7 inches tall. If you have low tree branches, a gate, restricted parking or a tight turnaround, include that when you book so I know what to expect before I arrive.
Why Green Dog is green
The grooming salon is powered while parked by a LiFePO4 lithium battery bank and Victron inverter system instead of running the grooming generator. The van also carries fresh water onboard and captures used bath water in a separate greywater tank. I use professional iGroom shampoos, including biodegradable formulas selected for the dog’s coat and condition.
What happens on appointment day
I text when I am heading your way. Once the van is parked, your dog comes into the salon for a private grooming appointment. I handle the groom from bath through finish and bring your dog back when we are done.
