Full Groom for continuously growing coats
A complete bath, coat preparation, and haircut for dogs whose hair keeps growing and needs regular clipping or scissoring. The finished length is chosen around coat condition, comfort, and the maintenance you can realistically keep up at home.

What the appointment includes
The haircut is only one part of the appointment. Clean, fully dried, completely combed coat is what makes an even finish possible.
A better haircut starts with better preparation
Most of the work happens before a blade touches the coat. That preparation determines whether the haircut looks even on appointment day and still sits correctly after the coat settles.
Clean, dry, and straight
Clippers move evenly through a clean coat. Fluff drying straightens curl and lets the coat be cut to a balanced, consistent length.
Length that fits real life
Longer styles require more brushing and a shorter grooming interval. A slightly shorter cut is often the better choice when it keeps the coat comfortable between visits.
Comfort comes first
Tight or widespread matting may require a shorter haircut so the blade can pass safely beneath it. I do not perform prolonged, painful de-matting simply to preserve length.

Choosing a haircut length
Clipper blades and guard combs leave different lengths, but you do not need to know the numbers. Tell me whether you prefer short and practical, soft and fluffy, or somewhere between the two.
Coat condition sets the safe starting point. If matting is present close to the skin, the finished haircut must be shorter than the matting.
Keeping the coat comfortable
For longer styles, brush in small sections from the skin outward and follow with a metal comb. If the comb catches, tangles remain below the surface.
A four-to-six-week appointment schedule keeps most growing coats manageable. Longer finishes generally need the shorter end of that range.
If the coat sheds instead of growing
A shedding coat belongs in a bath-and-brush or double-coated service rather than a Full Groom. Compare all four categories on the Grooming Services page.
